PM Imran Khan launches PTV Tele School Channel to help students get education during lockdown due to COVID-19.
Govt has decided to launch “PTV Tele School Channel” for distance learning of students who are at home due to nationwide lockdown due to Corona virus pandemic. PTV Tele School will be on aired on satellite & will be available on cable & dish networks , along with other PTV channels.
PM said the channel will also benefit children residing in far-flung areas of the country. He regretted Pakistan lagged far behind in the field of education and health.
PTV Tele School Channel will broadcast programmes for 1-12 grades from 8am to 6pm on a daily basis from April 14, 2020 (Tuesday) . There will be English, Maths, Urdu and General Science lessons for junior students in the morning session while the rest of time has been dedicated for seniors.
The Tele School Channel run by Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) in partnership with Ministry of Higher Education & Professional Training.
